Good morning!
Today was our first of many travel days, as our trip was a slight road trip through Norway. Carly, Aaron, my dad and mom all went to the airport early as our plan was to get two rental cars for our road trip up north. They had to go earlier than Jake, Etty, Lucy, Mac and I so they could pick up the cars and have all the designated drivers signed the documents they had to sign.
However lucky for us when they arrived at the airport the first car they gave them was a nine person passenger van. It’s funny because we debated just getting this vehicle so only one person had to drive, but thought it would be too small for all of us and our bags. However, once they saw it, they ended up canceling the second car. We all made our way to the airport and piled into the van our first leg of the road trip.

Our first stop was Leon, which was about a 5 Hour drive from Bergen. We decided on Leon as it looked liked there were a couple great hiking trails up the tram with amazing views. The drive was very pretty and we had to take a ferry across the Fjords. It was a fun experience and we got to get out of the car, stretch out our legs and take in the views. The ferry ride was fairly quick around ~30 minutes and we were on the other side.
Maybe half way through the drive, we decided to stop at a shopping mall to stretch our legs a bit more and get out of the car. We popped into a couple shops and looked around. After our ~1 hour break, we hopped back in the car to continue on our way.

We arrive in Leon at around 5:30 and we’re staying in the most gorgeous hotel, The Alexander. Even though the weather was not holding up, we still decided to make the journey up the tram and go on a hike. When we arrived at the top, it was very windy and very wet. We still did ~3 mile hike and enjoyed ourselves and got a few small holes in the clouds.

It was a very memorable hike and I’m glad we got to do it. After our hike, we headed back to the hotel to shower and get ready for dinner. The hotel was known for its buffet so we ate dinner at the hotel and man was the buffet crazy. They had everything you could have imagined. Everyone was able to find something they could eat and it was a delicious dinner.
After dinner, most of us headed to the Hotel bar and grabbed a quick nightcap to chat, hang out and vibe a little longer before heading off to bed.
After we finish our drinks, we headed up to bed for another day of driving and exploring.
Goodnight from Leon!
