Travel With Phie

Good morning! 

Today was the day of Trish and Manasi’s wedding! Wedding festivities were supposed to begin at 8am, so we headed down to breakfast around 7:00am. The breakfast this morning was very disappointing in comparison to every other day. But we ate there and met Molly and Hunter in the hotel lobby. The events were slightly delayed so we ended up heading to a coffee shop prior to heading over. 

We were dropped off a little ways away from the coffee shop as we were unsure where it truly was so walked a bit in the rain before finding the entrance. 

We got some drinks and hung out for a bit until 9am. We then walked to Trish’s place which it had thankfully stopped raining at this point so the walk was a little nicer. We were still a bit early, so the boys put on their head pieces and then we found some A/C (in the gym) prior to the event truly starting. 

Trish came down and we began a full dance party with drummers. It was a blast! We then continued for a while before making some progress and Trish hopped on a white horse to continue the progression. After finally convincing (or as some say paying) his sister-in-law to let him through we all made our way into vehicles and headed off to the temple. 

After we arrived at the venue, the dancing continued and then we headed inside to begin the ceremony. The venue was absolutely stunning! There was so much food which was all delicious and i probably had 3 servings and especially when it came to the desserts. 

After the ceremony was over and we snapped a couple of photos, with the married couple, we headed back to the hotel. 

We got back, showered, took a nap and then went downstairs to the bar to get Kenzie some food and get a beer before meeting some people out and about. We headed out to the bars around 7pm, with our first stop being Punchline. 

We got to Punchline right when most others were showing up which was perfect timing. Punchline was a great cocktail bar. We indulged in a couple cocktails each which were each very unique and “instagram worthy” as the waiter put it. We all chatted,  mixed and mingled for quite a while before continuing on to next bar. 

The next bar was a rooftop venue, which was very fun and we got a couple of beers and chatted. We weren’t there for quite as long as the group wanted to head to a club. We all got in our various vehicles and were off to hit the clubs of Mumbai. 

We arrived, negotiated the cover and headed in. The club was fairly empty, but it was fun just being our group of ~25 or so people. We stayed for 2-3 hours before deciding to head back to the hotel. 

Once we got back we headed straight to bed and with that goodnight!
