India: Day 7 | Ranthambore

Once we got off at the station, we grabbed our luggage and headed to the cars (which Trish’s family had graciously arranged). The boys and us few girls hopped into a safari looking truck and were on our way to the Resort. It was a beautiful ride on our open air trolley(?).

After about 15 minutes we arrived at the resort. When we arrived they had a whole entrance planned with dancing, music and a sign for the wedding celebration. It was a great way to wake ourselves up a bit and get ready for the day ahead.

We walked in, checked-in, and explored the resort for a little bit. While exploring we saw a couple monkeys and they were huge! It was quite cool to see. Then I took a quick little nap and we headed to breakfast. At breakfast we had these amazing breakfast potatoes and omelets which was exactly what we needed.

After breakfast, we got ready for the pool party (the first event of the celebration). The event was so fun! Trish and Manasi had such an elaborate entrance which was fun to be a part of.

We then went into some dancing, and games. The games were great and the last involved the two sides chugging beer, which the grooms side won, of course (but no thanks to me). We then moved to the real party, which was when the singing and song remembrance came into play. If you got the lyrics wrong you got pushed into the pool, but pretty much no matter what you ended up in the pool. Haha!

By the end of this event, everyone was fully clothed in the pool. It was a blast! We swam, hung out, vibed and continued to party for a couple hours. It was in and out of the pool. I think this was the prime example of what everyone envisions when they say they want a pool party!

They also had these amazing cheese/veggie fried balls that I think I had about 30 of throughout the day! They were so freaking good!

What a blast! The event to no one’s surprise involved a lot of drinking and by the end we were pretty whipped from the sun and movement of the day. After the party slowly came to an end, we headed up to our room to shower.

I also again took a nap before waking up and getting ready for the second event of the day. The Sangeet! This event was in a different venue that was absolutely stunning. When we arrived, we were all pretty dead from the day that we grabbed some chairs and hung out. After a while, Trish & Manasi made their grand entrance and again they looked amazing!

After their entrance the event was officially kicked off with dances. The dances included almost all of the attendees, from international guests to family to Trish & Manasi themselves. The dances were so fun to see, especially Manasi did one with her dance friends and it was so elegant and lovely to watch.

The boys (all of Trish’s friends from college including Mac & Hunter) did their dance which was another highlight of the evening. They truly gave it their all and it was so fun to watch!

After the dances had concluded there was an “after party” which included a DJ and a huge dance party. We danced, got more food, and vibed for a long while! After a little while of dancing we even had some gorillas join us on the dance floor which was such a fun little extra. We vibed with the DJ until about 1:30am and then decided it was time for us to head in.

We went back to the room and headed straight to bed – what a day! Goodnight, we will be sleeping well!
