Day 0: Cars, planes, and trains to AMS

Today was our red eye travel day, so we woke up and had a normal day back at home before heading to the airport around 6:30pm. We went off to the airport and arrived around 7pm roughly 2 hours before our flight. We found our gate and hung out before boarding around 8pm. The boarding went smoothly and everyone was able to fit their bags overhead (whoo hoo).

On the flight I was in my ideal seat (A, or the left side window) so I practically slept the entire way with a couple breaks to wake up and eat. Due to losing or I guess almost losing my AirPod on my last long flight, I finally remembered to bring wired headphones on this one. This was nice because I then was not worried about losing one and could slept worry-free. On the plane I ordered the pasta and then in the morning I got the chocolate croissant.

Woke up one last time and we had landed in Amsterdam. We headed off the plane and to the train station to train into the city.

The Amsterdam Central station was about a 25 minute walk from the hotel, so we decided to walk the distance. It was a bit challenging with the cobblestone roads to lug all the luggage to the hotel, but alas we made it successfully to our hotel.

Once we arrived we were able to check in. We checked into our hotel rooms; Carly & Aaron (C&A) in one, Jake & Etty (J&E) in another, and for now me all alone. Apparently the other 4 had to ask for assistance getting into the room as the doors were push instead of pull and they were unable to figure it out. LOL. Once everyone was able to make it into the rooms, we dropped our bags and headed into the streets of Amsterdam.

Good Day!
