Day 9: Beach Day and Head Back to the City (Bangkok)

Today was our last real day in Thailand and we decided we were going to take advantage of its amazing beaches. We woke up, went for a walk on the beach – I was dumb and decided to only put on a little sunscreen before the morning walk.. Bad decision. After our walk we changed into our swimsuits, grabbed our books and went to lay out and maybe get a pina colada or two?

We spent the morning, afternoon, and early evening just hanging out and laying out. Then it was time to shower, change, and wait for our car to take us back to Bangkok. We were sad to go as it was a very relaxing day of the beach.

I changed and took out my phone for the first time that day and looked at myself in the camera and realized I was burnt to a crisp.. Not ideal. I put on so much sunscreeen throughout the day, but I guess the morning walk really did me in.

Our car arrived in the early evening around 6pm and we were on our 2 hour journey back to Bangkok. The car ride went very smoothly and he dropped us off right at our hotel.

There was a 7/11 right next door, so we quickly stopped in their grabbed some snacks for dinner and then went up to the room as we were taking an early shuttle to the airport. We headed to bed to get a good nights sleep before our long 20 something hour journey the next day.
