Well this Series of my trip to Thailand is very delayed, I wanted to still share my adventure with you. This trip was a life goal of mine and I couldn’t have been happier with the way it happened.

Day 1: Travel Day – Longest EVER!

The travel day for Carly and I was 2 layovers, 1 in MSP and 1 in South Korea. Looking into flights, it was almost half the price to leave from DEN than it was from MSP. So, Carly decided to book a flight the night before to DEN, so we could travel the entire distance together. It was honestly very nice to have each other for the entire travel day since it was almost a full 24 hours of traveling.

Carly and I both choose to work the majority of the of the first day of travel since we had long layovers and didn’t want to take an extra day of work off to just simply sit at the airport.

The first flight was fairly easy and around 2 hours of flight time from DEN to MSP. We then had a 3/4 hour layover in MSP before boarding our longest flight of the journey – MSP to South Korea. While on this layover we worked and got Chick-Fil-A to fuel ourselves before boarding. This flight was long, but I was able to sleep a majority of the way which was a huge win. While I slept, Carly would go between sleeping and watching movies. The flight was not as long as expected, but the next flight was longer than expected. This flight was from South Korea to Bangkok.

This flight again, I was able to sleep a majority of the way which was super nice. Jake & Etty had arrived a couple hours prior to us, so they were able to check-in and have our keys ready upon arrival. Carly and I landed in Bangkok around 11pm and took a taxi straight to the hotel. Although, I slept a majority of the flights, I was still exhausted from traveling and slept very well.

The travel day was a success as we made it to the hotel safely and with all of our luggage 🙂

Time to sleep – see ya in the morning!
