Ski Trip? Ski Day 2

Day 2 started just like day 1, we woke up, got dressed, and made our pocket sandwiches.

Once we were dressed, packed, and ready to hit the slopes we headed out to the bus stop to get on the bus for Grands Montets – Argentière. Thankfully, the stop was approximately a 6-minute walk from our Airbnb. At this bus stop, we come to realize that we maybe should have woken up a bit earlier to miss the rush.

After a bus or two drove by that was completely full and didn’t even stop. We finally got on the almost filled bus with about 50 others making us, so far over capacity. This was one of the sweatiest bus rides I have been on, but after about 30/40 minutes, we arrived at our beautiful destination.

We decided to start with a full send and headed straight up to the top of the mountain on the first chair up. We paused at the top for a little before heading down the m

This was one of our favorite mountains on the trip. There were a lot of amazing off-piste routes, which is where we spent most of the day. We had a blast and half.

We stopped for lunch on the mountain, some of us got some beers while I got the best drink on the hill, an Orangina. After lunch, we skied quite a bit more before looking to get off the hill and back to town.

After skiing, we took the shuttle back to our base. We had almost made it home when I slipped and fell and bruised my butt pretty well. At that point, we were only 20 steps away from our Airbnb and headed up to shower and get out of ski gear before dinner.

Once we were showered and out of ski gear Carly and I headed into town a bit early to trade in my skis for a different demo pair. Once we got those and brought them back to the Airbnb, we headed out to get some beers and to seek out some food.

We had some great drinks with great company before we headed to dinner. We went to a delicious tapas restaurant. We eat, laughed, and walked back home before heading in for the night. Excited for a great adventure tomorrow – back-country skiing.

Goodnight.
