Day 15
Arrived were so tired from no sleep, so we showered and hung out in our Airbnb for a while before heading out to get lunch before siesta (nap time where most restaurants and shops close for 2-4 hours). We ate some tapas around 4:00 before beginning to explore our new city.
We explored a little and looked in a couple shops with hopes of finding some long dresses for our time in Spain. We didn’t have any luck before siesta began, so we decided to head to the river.
We sat by the river in the shade and people watched, which was more of watching rowers skirt passed us on the river for a while. We ended up sitting there for around 2 hours before heading back towards our Airbnb. On our way back we decided to do a little more dress hunting. After a little while we were all successful in our search, so we decided to head back towards our place.
On our way back we found a little smoothie place and all had some delicious smoothie bowls with a view of a beautiful building. We hung out here for a while and then headed back up for an early night in.
Once we got back to our place we decided it wasn’t quite time to head to bed, so Carly and I ventured out and found a bar to get some drinks and a little app. We both got these amazing mojitos and split a caprese salad.
Then we officially headed up for the night.

Day 16
We all woke up and Ashley went for a run, while carly and I walked around for a bit before finding a place to get some coffee. We then walked around a bit more before all meeting up for breakfast. We all got orange juice and bread with tomatoes.
After breakfast we headed off for our adventures of the day. We started at la plaza espana which was truly beautiful and I highly recommend going if possible. Next we ventured to jargines de Murillo and walked around a while before making our way to Sevilla university. We walked around that area while we were trying to get to Real Alcazar (we did finally find the entrance, but we didn’t want to wait in the LONG line), so we decided to continue on to the Catedral de Sevilla. It is a beautiful building and we just walked around the outside and didn’t go in.
Then we decided to go to the river and find lunch. We found a cute little lunch place near the river where we ordered tomatoes and potatoes. They were amazing, some of the best!
After lunch, we went across river to Tirana, which is known for its tile work. It was very pretty and there were a lot of cute ceramic shops. We went in and out of a lot before heading back to our river spot to hang out for siesta. After around an hour or two we decide to walk to train station and book all our trains for Spain. We had to go to the train station because with our EuRail passes we were not able to book trains online, but rather we were required to go into a train station to book them.
We ended booked all 4 of our trains for Spain and the ticket guy was super nice, although I don’t think very happy that we had so many trains to book. Then we walked back to the Airbnb to air out feet from walking all day before heading to dinner.
Dinner was interesting carly and I ordered crispy shrimp and it was not what we expecting (see picture for reference). Here we learned Spanish omelettes are amazing and tinto de verano is our go to Spanish drink. Overall dinner was a success.
And after dinner we continued on to the universal people bar for another mojito and to play some cards. We played 9 hole golf with cards before heading in for the night.
First full day in Sevilla was a great success!

Day 17
Day Trip! Today we decided to do our first day trip of the trip and head from Sevilla to Cordoba. We took the 9:13 train in and arrive to Cordoba around 10:00. We all decided to look up things to do on the train, so when we arrived we had a brief idea of what we all wanted to see.
We arrived at the Cordoba train station and walked around 10/15 minutes until we were into the city. From there we found a breakfast place on the square in which I ordered a coffee and orange juice. The orange juice was immaculate. We then journeyed to the river and found a couple of must see sights along the way.
We visited the Mezquita, calleja de las Flores, and Puerta del Puente all towards our walk to the river. All of these places were beautiful and I highly recommend taking time to visit. After we came across these sights we simply just walked down the prettiest streets we saw. After around an hour or so of walking we ended back up near the river and decided to do our own sight seeing tour.
We started by looking up and mapping out all of the must see sights in Cordoba (link to map here). We also added in a lunch spot, so we had an automatic lunch break built into our little mini tour of the town.
We started at a beautiful plaza with fun little shops on the outskirts of the square. We walked around this for a little before continuing on our journey to old Roman ruins. This was a cool sight, but one we stopped at for only around 2 minutes to take in the view before continuing on. Next we went to palacio de viana.
Palacio de viana was a beautiful little palace with 12 patio gardens. It was €6 to get in and walk around and it was highly, highly worth it. All of the gardens were gorgeous and super fun to see. We leisurely walked around all the gardens for around an hour taking in all the views. One of my favorite, if not my favorite, stop of the day.
After this we went another 2 quick stops before continuing to lunch. These stops included, Palacio de la Merced & Monumento a Manolete they were pretty, but not necessarily a need to see sight. So, we took in the views and quickly continued to lunch.
We ate lunch at Taberna San Migual. We ordered our usual tomatoes and then also ordered potato’s with spicy mayo. Food was delicious and we also stayed to play a round of cards (golf). Once we had finished playing cards we continued our venture ahead.
Our journey took us to Alcazar of the Christian Monarchs. Which was my second favorite spot of the day. We paid €2.50 to get into the garden and building and the garden was amazing! It was beautiful and we were a bit tired from all the walking so decided to chill and pop a squat on the bench for a while. We relaxed until we were ready to continue on.
We continued onto the porch gardens. They were in siesta by the time we arrived, so we ended up just quickly walking past a few on our way to find ice cream. After we found some ice cream we went to the grocery store to find a bit of a snack/dinner before heading on the train home.
We ended up having our little dinner as a Picnic in the park. We ate, people watched, and played 18 holes of card golf before heading back into the city one last time. We spent around 3 hours in the park during siesta just having fun and hanging out.
We then walked around to kill time before our 9:23 train home. Once we arrived home we could go back to the Airbnb dropped our stuff off. And then we headed back out to the universal people bar to get our usual Mojito‘s before we headed off to bed.

Day 18
Beach day! Today we wanted to split up our trip a bit and head to the beach. We decided that Cadiz would be the best place for us to spend the day relaxing and hanging out. We took a train from Sevilla to Cadiz and arrived at around 11:15. When we arrived we headed straight for the beach.
We spent the entire afternoon laying out, swimming, and walking along the beautiful sandy beach. We were out until around 2pm when we decided to head to get some lunch. We went to the main square and of course ordered our typical tomatoes and potatoes. They were alright, but the coca-cola was amazing. We then headed straight back to the beach. We stayed at the beach again laying out, swimming, and walking until around 7 when we began to explore the little area around the beach. We explored for around 30 minutes before waking towards the train station to go to Aldi and get dinner and catch our 8:20 train.
From Aldi we got bread, Nutella, bananas, cheese and fresh squeezed orange juice. We then quickly hurried to the train and hopped on to eat dinner. Thankfully we were at a spot with a table, so we were able to lay out all of our ingredients for dinner (Nutella & banana sandwich’s). It was a blast and very delicious.
We got back to town around 10:30 and headed to our favorite bar for of course some mojitos. We hung out here for around 45 minutes and then headed to the Airbnb to change for the bars. After quickly rinsing off and changing we headed into town to see the nightlife of Sevilla.
We found a packed bar and happen to stumble across a table outside. We all ordered tinto de veranos and had ourselves a night.
When the bar started to close we made our way back to the Airbnb and headed to bed for the night.

Day 19
This was our last day in Sevilla, so we decided to spend another full day exploring the city on a more chill level. We had seen the main attractions the first day, so we decided to explore the few areas we hadn’t seen yet.
Carly and I started by getting a classic Spanish breakfast of coffee & toasted bread with tomatoes. After that we walked around and stopped in a few shops. We then went to a little street market where we bought some beautiful sliver jewelry (carly earrings and myself a ring).
After our little shopping, we went from our place north to las setas de Sevilla and explored from there. We saw some cute cats, pretty streets, and beautiful buildings. After exploring for around 30 minutes we noticed that we had somehow made a loop back towards the main square of the city. From there we went back to our place to grab the orange juice and also make a quick stop to get cake pops from a bakery we had seen the day before. We did this to prepare for our daily siesta by the river.
During siesta time, Ashley went for a run while carly and I went for a walk along the river. Once we had all met up again we sat down for siesta. We drank our orange juice, ate our cake pops, and people watched along the river.
After siesta we walked around a bit more before heading to a square to get dinner. On our way to dinner we saw a circus street performer that seemed very entertaining, however, we were starving so we sat down for dinner. We had some delicious tacos and great people watching.
After dinner we were lucky enough that the street performer was on again and we got to watch the entire kids carnival show. It was super fun, although we did not understand most of what was happening.
After we headed off back to our place to pack and get ready for bed, but only after we ate our second cake balls of the day.

Day 20
Travel day! We had a train at 8:36, so we woke up and headed right to the train station. We had leftover Nutella from the train tel days before, so we planned to get a baguette on our way to the train. However, we didn’t realize that the supermarkets weren’t open until 8:30/9, so we ended up getting croissants at the McDonalds in the train station to put out Nutella on. We took a high speed train from Sevilla to Madrid which was around 2.5 hours. On the train we all kinda slept, hung-out and drank some cokes. And onto the next city we went.
