Hi Roommates, I would say “all readers” or something cliché like that, however, I know at this point my roommates will probably be the only ones reading this. What is this, you may ask; this is what I call my attempt at starting a blog.
My name is Sophie, and I have a fairly normal life with a few twists and turns along the way. I am currently a junior in college and have a huge passion for traveling and being outdoors. I would like to assume that this blog will mainly be about my travels and experiences while being outdoors; however, I am just getting started, so who knows where this blog may take us. Nonetheless, I would love all of you to stay with me through my journey of life.
I know I am already straying from my blogs being contributed to trips and travels, but I wanted to write a little about my passion for starting. Before COVID hit earth, I had three big trips planned (Thailand, the U.K., and Budapest) and I wanted to start a blog, so my friends and family could stay with me through my time and experiences abroad. Although, as I assume many of you guessed, all three trips were cancelled. I was crushed. I felt as though it was the end of the world and there was no way out. That was when I had the crazy idea to still fill my time with blogging. However, as you can see now I never followed through on my “crazy idea” until now.
It has been a whirlwind of a year and just when you thought the year couldn’t get any worse, I swear it did. Although the year 2020 was not how any of us planned it, ended up being a full year of reflection and realization. Throughout the past year I came to not only realize a lot about myself and what I enjoy, but also about the need to stay active. Now being active to me doesn’t just mean working out or exercising, it simply means doing something every day. Whether this something is an art project, face-timing friends, going for a walk/run, or even just going out and getting your morning cup of coffee it allows you to pursue a non-zero day. When you do that one thing a day that makes you get up and get going it makes you a happier and more productive person.
Stay Active, My Friends!
